MEP: Moldova receives new instalment of European funding for development and reforms
MEP Siegfried Mureșan announced that the European Union will unlock a new instalment of 18.9 million euros for the Republic of Moldova, following the progress of the pro-European government in Chișinău in implementing reforms.
The amount is part of Moldova Growth Plan, worth 1.9 billion euros, negotiated by the European Parliament.
The official reiterated that so far, 270 million euros have already been allocated as pre-financing.
The MEP emphasized that the funds prove the European Union's constant support for the country's European path and said "the place of the Republic of Moldova is on the European road."
