
As many as 586 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova
Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,998 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 586 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Thus, 502,386 COVID cases have been recorded so far.
According to the Health Ministry (MS), 21 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (6 physicians, 14 medical assistants, 1 auxiliary staff).
As many as 977 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 96 are in extremely serious condition and 17 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.
In the context, 8,080 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 11,000 are under supervision at home.
Another 903 people have been treated. As many as 477,544 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 12 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 11,228 people have died of coronavirus in all.
