Moldovan Foreign Minister at opening of Angel Kanchev University branch in Taraclia
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popșoi participated together with his Bulgarian counterpart, Georg Georgiev, in the official opening of the branch of Angel Kanchev University of Ruse, Bulgaria, in Taraclia.
In his speech, Mihai Popșoi emphasized that this university is more than an investment in education – it is an investment in the future of the youth, in consolidating European identity, and in the economic development of the region.
The new branch offers students and professors access to EU-recognized diplomas, accredited programs, and a modern infrastructure, thus creating significant educational and professional opportunities.
The Foreign Minister thanked the Bulgarian authorities for their support, highlighting the one million euros investment in renovating the student dormitory.
Popșoi also mentioned that students will benefit from modern study conditions, thanks to the upgraded academic infrastructure and improved facilities.
Bulgarian Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev is on a working visit to the Republic of Moldova on May 24-25.
