
Authorities of Chisinau urge drivers to bypass sloping roads
Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/ – There are no blockages in the streets of Chisinau, and the municipality authorities recommend drivers to bypass the sloping roads.
According to the Chisinau city hall’s information and media communication service, the electric transport circulates on all routes according to the programme, including suburbs. As for the buses, they run as scheduled, only at line №33, towards Dobrogea, the route was shortened.
Over the recent night, the Exdrupo company worked with 48 special vehicles for snow cleaning and scattering of anti – skid material. During the night, the road workers sprinkled 895 tonnes of anti – slip material and 6,5 tonnes of salt.
Also, the housing – communal department (RCL) activated during the night with 33 brush and blade machines, on sidewalks and pedestrian crossings. From 08:00 RCL has been working with 12 vehicles and 380 workers to clear snow and sprinkle the anti – skid material.
Similarly, acting Mayor, Ruslan Codreanu, urged municipal services to work over the course of the day under increased regime, sprinkling the anti – skid material on the pavements and in the courtyards of the blocks.
The municipality recommends drivers to bypass the sloping roads, especially streets: Ganea, Timis, Postei, Vadul lui Voda, Paris, Podul Inalt, Causeni and Uzinelor, in order to avoid the traffic difficulties.
The citizens are also encouraged to use public transport, to detriment of personal cars; drivers not to park on the edges of the streets and on the sidewalks to avoid crowding traffic and let snow removing vehicles to intervene in a due time. The economic agents and property managers of Chisinau are called upon to clear their snow from the territory in which they operate.
