Information from personal social insurance accounts can be verified electronically in Moldova
Citizens can access their personal social insurance account, in order to check if employers comply with the obligation to declare and pay state social insurance contributions. The National Social Insurance House (CNAS) warns that this data is quite important for establishing social insurance benefits, such as pensions, temporary work incapacity allowances, or allowances meant for families with children.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, Angela Rezan, deputy head of the General Directorate of Individual Contributions Records at CNAS, emphasized that checking data from the personal social insurance account was an essential tool for each insured person, providing transparency and possibility to monitor the data recorded in the personal account.
“It is very important to verify the data in the personal account to prepare for a certain risk. As years pass, it becomes more difficult to recover information to be entered into the personal social insurance account, if the employer has not fulfilled the obligation to calculate and declare mandatory state social insurance contributions,” said Angela Rezan.
Thus, by accessing the personal account, insured citizens can verify if employers have correctly declared the period of activity and have paid the social insurance contributions.
“At the same time, the information in the personal account allows an estimate of the contribution period fulfilled. In case divergences or errors are found in the account data, insured individuals can request their correction from the employer in time, avoiding subsequent problems when establishing social benefits. Also, the personal account is updated monthly, providing relevant information about the history of contributions and received social benefits. Regular access to data from the personal social insurance account is a right and a responsibility of each insured person,” stated Angela Rezan.
She explained to citizens how data from the personal social insurance account can be accessed.
“CNAS gives insured people possibility to see, electronically, the data from the personal social insurance account through the ACCES CPAS Information System or the government portal of the citizen. Thus, insured individuals who hold an electronic or mobile signature can access their account data through the MPass service, without having to go to the territorial structure of CNAS to receive an access password,” Angela Rezan explained.
As for insured persons who do not have an electronic or mobile signature, accessing data from the personal account through SI ACCES CPAS is done based on the login and access password issued by the Territorial Social Insurance House or by CNAS.
