Scholarships for vocational training of unemployed to be increased

Chisinau, Dec. 22 /MOLDPRES/- Scholarships for unemployed people enrolled in vocational training courses will increase. Its amount will increase from 15% to 35% of the average salary in the economy.

MPs voted today a draft law on the matter in the second reading.

Also, in accordance with the amendments to the legislation, the unemployed who start a business will receive an increased subsidy – from 50% to 80%, but not more than 20 average salaries for the previous year, of the expenses necessary to establish the business.

At the same time, the period of 3 months after resignation or dismissal will be excluded, at the expiration of which people who benefit from severance allowances have the right to benefit from unemployment benefits. At the same time, the term for hiring and maintaining a job by employers who benefit from subsidizing the costs for creating or adapting a job for people with disabilities is reduced from 18 to 12 months.
