Shahed drone illegally flew over airspace of Moldova

A Shahed-type drone was detected this morning illegally flying over the airspace of the Republic of Moldova, announced the Air Operations Service of the National Army.

Aircraft was identified at 08:13 by the National Army’s surveillance systems. The drone entered the territory of the Republic of Moldova from the direction of the locality of Beleaevka, Odesa region (Ukraine), after which it moved toward the locality of Tudora, Ștefan Vodă district. Shortly afterward, at 08:15, it left the natio

nal airspace, crossing the state border in the direction of the locality of Crutoiarovka, Odesa region.

According to technical data, the flight took place at an altitude of approximately 3,000 meters, at a speed of about 167 km/h.

Representatives of the National Army note that the monitoring of the airspace continues on a permanent basis, and the institution is cooperating with national authorities and partners from neighboring countries to ensure the safety of citizens.
