Moldovan Speaker's message on National Greening Day
Speaker Igor Grosu delivered a message today on National Greening Day, observed on October 31, emphasizing the importance of protecting the environment, using resources responsibly, and developing cleaner communities.
At the beginning of the plenary session, Igor Grosu mentioned that October 31 also marks World Savings Day and World Cities Day.
“Days that remind us that we must take care of the environment in which we live, use resources responsibly, and build strong and cleaner communities,” the speaker said.
His message focused on everyone’s responsibility toward the environment and the importance of using resources wisely to build cleaner and more sustainable communities.
National Greening Day was established in 1995 by presidential decree, aimed at involving society in expanding green spaces and protecting the environment. Initially, the initiative was organized on the first Saturday of April, while since 2011 it has been observed on the last Saturday of October.
