Technical cooperation agreement between Moldova and Japan for modernization of public media infrastructure of Teleradio-Moldova signed at Foreign Affairs Ministry
Japan will provide the State Company Teleradio-Moldova with a non-repayable grant amounting to 192 million Japanese yen—about 21 million Moldovan lei, for the modernization of audiovisual production and broadcasting equipment. An agreement on technical cooperation between the governments of Moldova and Japan was signed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) today.
The document was signed by MAE’s State Secretary Sergiu Mihov and Japanese Ambassador to Moldova Yamada Yoichiro. It outlines the funding of the project titled, Improvement of Television Programme Production Equipment at the National Public Audiovisual Institution Company Teleradio-Moldova.
The investment will allow for the modernization of technology, improve the quality of TV programmes and develop the professional skills of employees in the field.
The implementation of the project will be managed by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
