
Moldovan tennis player won first round at Australian Open competition
Chisinau, 10 February /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot won the first round at the Australian Open competition.
The Moldovan sportsman played together with British Daniel Evans against Argentine Andres Molteni and Polish Hugo Nisa. The tandem led by Albot won in two rounds, 6-2, 6-3. The match lasted one hour and six minutes.
Earlier, the Moldovan athlete made a sensation, defeating Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, who ranks the 13th in the world ranking of tennis players.
In the next round of the tennis tournament taking place in Australia, Radu Albot will play against Christopher O'Connell.
