
Moldovans who got medals at 2024 Paris Olympic Games awarded Honorific Recognition distinction
Chisinau, 29 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovans who got medals at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Anastasia Nichita, Adil Osmanov and Serghei Tarnovschi, have been awarded the distinction Honorific Recognition for very good sports performances on the international stage. The Honorific Recognition was also awarded to the winner of the silver medal, Ion Basoc, and the Paralympic Committee of Moldova.
The distinctions were offered at the Royal Palace from Bucharest during the Royal Party Evening dedicated to Civic Courage, in the presence of Her Majesty, Margareta, the Custodian of the Crown of Romania and His Royal Highness, Prince Radu.
Attending the event was also the president of Moldova’s National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOS), Nicolae Juravschi, accompanied by the Olympic medal winners, Anastasia Nichita, Adil Osmanov, Serghei Tarnovschi, as well as coach Valeriu Duminica.
Also, the Honorific Recognition was awarded to CNOS president Nicolae Juravschi – an example of excellence, one of the greatest sportsmen from Moldova, a symbol of determination and success, who inspired the entire nation through his achievements.
The National Federations of Wrestling, Judo and Kayak-Canoe from Moldova were awarded the Honorific Recognition for their contribution to the Olympic success of the sportspeople and the promotion of the sports values.
„ National Olympic and Sports Committee deeply appreciates the Honorific Recognition awarded to our institution for the promotion of the Olympic values and the sports support of the country internationally,’’ CNOS stressed.
Attending the Royal Evening was Moldova’s Ambassador to Romania Victor Chirila, who conveyed congratulations to sportspeople and representatives of the National Federations.
