Moldova wins four gold, two silver medals at World Mixed Martial Arts Championship
Sportspeople from Moldova have won four gold and two medals at the World Mixed Martial Arts Championship held in Brazil.
Two gold medals were won by Cristian Constantinov, who became the world champion in the over 120 kg category, in both the MMA (mixed martial arts) and striking MMA events.
Another two gold medals were won by Gheorghe Balaur (80 kg) and Dumitru Ceacusta (93 kg), both in the MMA event.
In the MMA event as well, Iaroslav Pasat (74 kg) and Oleg Pîrvu (80 kg) became world vice-champions.
The World Mixed Martial Arts Championship took place in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
