Prime Minister of Moldova Dorin Recean and his Bulgarian counterpart Rossen Jeliazkov on July 27 paid a visit to the southern Taraclia district, one of the most important regions densely populated by ethnic Bulgarians. The officials met residents and local leaders of the district and participated in the ceremony on the signing of the agreement regarding the transfer of assets to the branch of the University of Ruse – the first higher education institution opened outside of Bulgaria.
PM Dorin Recean emphasized, that in recent years, visible and sustainable investments had been made in Taraclia in education, infrastructure, energy and community development.
The Bulgarian official assured his country's support in Moldova's European path and reiterated Sofia's willingness to assist the country in diversifying energy sources.
