PHOTO GALLERY // Well-known departed poet of Moldova honored with flower-laying ceremony on Alley of Classics in Chisinau

The great departed poet, Grigore Vieru, one of the most emblematic figures of the Romanian literature, today is commemorated in Moldova, on the occasion of the 91st anniversary of his birth. In the context, today morning, flowers were laid at the poet’s bust on the Alley of Classics of Romanian Literature in the Stefan cel Mare Public Garden from Chisinau. The birthday of poet Grigore Vieru was declared, four years ago, the National Reading Day, established in order to promote a culture of reading in the society.
