During a working visit to Ocnița, Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu visited the agricultural enterprise managed by Zoia Romanciuc in Unguri village. The main activity of the farm is fruit cultivation, especially apples, plums, and cherries, intended both for the domestic market and for export.

Developed since 2012, the enterprise has become an important agricultural producer in the north of the country and has been included in regional studies on value chains in the fruit sector.

"Businesses like this show that agriculture in the Republic of Moldova has a future. It takes courage, work and perseverance to build and develop, and our role, as the Government, is to create a stable and predictable environment in which entrepreneurs can invest and grow. The fact that Moldovan products reach the European Union market and are competitive confirms that we are on the right track," Munteanu said.

The farm has orchards and modern agricultural infrastructure, and in recent years it has implemented new solutions to increase efficiency and sustainability. These include efficient irrigation systems and investments in renewable energy, including the installation of photovoltaic panels for agricultural needs, which confirms the enterprise’s focus on modernization and energy efficiency.

Through the greening program for small and medium-sized enterprises, managed by the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development and financed by the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, the entrepreneur implemented a project for collecting and storing rainwater. With the support of a grant of approximately 500,000 lei, a storage basin was built that optimizes the use of water resources and increases the enterprise’s resilience to bad weather conditions.
