Commemorative painting exhibition by Moldovan departed fine artist inaugurated at Chisinau-based exhibition centre

Chisinau, 9 February /MOLDPRES/ - A painting exhibition titled, Mihai Mireanu. In Memoriam, was inaugurated at the Constantin Brancusi exhibition centre today.   

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the wife of the departed artist, Virginia Mireanu, said the exhibition comprised 53 painting works made by Mihai Mireanu during years.  

Mihai Mireanu was born in the Olanesti commune, Stefan Voda district, on 8 February 1949. He finished the A. Plamadeala Fine Arts College from Chisinau. In 1985, Mireanu became member of the Moldovan Fine Artists Union. He staged more exhibitions in Moldova and Romania. The fine artist’s works are preserved in public and private collections from Moldova, Romania, Russia, France, Canada, Italy, Israel, Germany, USA and other countries. In 2010, Mihai Mireanu was awarded the title of Master in Art. The fine artist passed away on 16 January 2021.   

The exhibition will be opened till 26 February.
