Moldovan deputy PM for reintegration has meeting with Lithuanian officials
Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri today held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Kristupas Vaitiekūnas, on a visit to Chisinau to participate in the Moldova Security Forum.
The deputy PM presented the government’s priorities in implementing reintegration policies and promoting convergence measures between the two banks of the Dniester, highlighting the importance of maintaining peace, stability and security, as well as implementing sustainable development projects.
The sides also addressed the current situation in the Transnistrian region, interaction within existing dialogue formats on the Transnistrian settlement, the challenges faced in the region regarding respect for fundamental human rights and freedoms and the measures taken by the national authorities to resolve citizens’ pressing issues.
Valeriu Chiveri expressed gratitude for Lithuania’s continued support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova.
