
Cheeses made in Moldova awarded silver and bronze medals at contest in France
Chisinau, 14 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- The cheeses of a producer from Moldova were awarded silver and bronze medals at the 6th edition of the World Cheese Competition "Mondial du Fromage", held on September 10-12, 2023, in Tours city, France.
Caciotta cheese of the domestic cheese producer Chiriac Piotr won the silver medal. Gulvet Delicatus cheese from the same producer managed to get the bronze medal.
The medals put the Republic of Moldova on the map of cheese producers, alongside the most notorious ones from countries such as France, Italy or Switzerland.
Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to France Corina Călugăru congratulated the producer from our country for the remarkable results obtained for the first time in the contest and the perseverance to develop this branch in our country.
The producer's participation in the contest was financed by the Polish State Foundation Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova and supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in France.
