PM invites European companies to invest in Moldova

Prime Minister Vasile Tofan has invited European companies to invest in Moldova and take advantage of the opportunities offered by the European integration process. The PM made statements to this effect in Brussels, at a meeting with representatives of more European companies, including firms already present on the Moldovan market.

“Invest in Moldova, and the government will be a partner,” Vasile Tofan said. He  encouraged European companies to learn more about the market of Moldova and assess opportunities to expand their operations and increase investments.

The meeting was attended by representatives of companies that develop modular water purification stations and irrigation solutions for agriculture, build infrastructure and prefabricated steel industrial halls, manage parking facilities in cities and airports across Europe and produce equipment for treating medical waste.

The PM presented the opportunities offered by Moldova’s closer ties with the European Union market, emphasizing that European integration can contribute to increased investment, infrastructure development and the modernization of the economy.

At the same time, Vasile Tofan highlighted Moldova’s geographical position and its potential to participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine. According to the prime minister, European companies can take advantage of the opportunities that will emerge in the region, while Moldova can serve as a platform for developing projects and partnerships.

The PM encouraged companies already operating in Moldova to expand their capacities and increase investment volumes, reiterating the government’s willingness to support the business environment and investment projects.

The meeting with representatives of the European business community took place on the sidelines of Prime Minister Vasile Tofan’s working visit to Brussels, where he attended the 10th meeting of the Moldova–European Union Association Council. The visit’s agenda included also discussions on economic cooperation and investment.
