Two internal customs posts from Chisinau to operate on weekends

Economic operators will be able to complete customs formalities on weekends at the Chisinau 1 Regional Customs Post (PVI) (Industrială) and Chișinău 2 (PVI) (Cricova). The Customs Service is introducing this measure, in order to facilitate access to customs services and provide the business community with more options for planning transport and customs clearance operations.

Thus, from October 9 to December 31, 2026, the two customs posts will operate daily, as of Monday till Sunday, between 08:00 and 17:00.

“The extended schedule is being implemented as part of a pilot project through which the Customs Service seeks to optimize the customs clearance process and assess an operating schedule adapted to the needs of economic operators. For the business community, this means the possibility of organizing customs operations throughout the entire week, with greater flexibility in managing logistics activities,” the institution said.

Throughout the pilot project, the posts will carry out customs controls and customs formalities during the established hours, within the scope of their functional responsibilities and in compliance with the applicable legal framework.

The Customs Service will monitor the number of operations carried out, the time required to complete customs formalities and demand for services on weekends. The results will serve as the basis for decisions on whether to maintain or adjust the operating schedule.
