
DOC // State Tax Service imposed restrictions on transactions of several companies allegedly controlled by internationally sanctioned individuals
The State Tax Service (SFS) has imposed restrictions on the transactions and/or activities of several companies allegedly controlled by individuals subject to international sanctions. The decisions were published in the Official Journal today.
According to the SFS decisions, the restrictions include actions such as the payment of dividends, funds resulting from the redemption of securities, or interest payments on securities; granting, returning, or repaying loans; conducting cash collection and disbursement operations; and the alienation of tangible/intangible immovable/movable properties registered in public records.
Among the companies subject to the restrictions are 11 entities for which there is documented information that they are under the control of citizen Ilan Shor, who is subject to international sanctions. Thus, the documents published in this regard in the Official Journal state that the SFS decision was issued "based on the Order of the Director of the Intelligence and Security Service regarding the inclusion of the mentioned companies in the list of legal entities for which there is documented information that they are under the control of citizen Ilan Shor, subject to restrictions according to the Decisions of the Inter-institutional Supervisory Council No. 1 of 27.12.2023 and No. 7 of 01.08.2024, pursuant to Article 28 of the Law on the Application of International Restrictive Measures No. 25/2016."
Moreover, similar restrictions have been applied in the case of some entities "for which there is documented information that they are under the control of citizens Arina Corșicova, Alexandru Beșchieru, Vadim Grozavu, and Dumitru Chitoraga, who are subjects of restrictions according to the decision of the Inter-institutional Supervisory Council regarding the application of international restrictive measures."
The decisions approved by the SFS were sent to the targeted companies, as well as to several state institutions, including the Information and Security Service, the Inter-institutional Supervisory Council, the Central Securities Depository, and the National Commission for the Financial Market.
Also today, the Official Journal published several decisions of the State Tax Service regarding the freezing of funds or economic resources of several individuals subject to restrictions according to the Decision of the Inter-institutional Supervisory Council. Among the targeted persons are Victor Petrov, Mihail Vlah, Vladimir Andronachi, Irina Vlah, and Veaceslav Valico.
Last week, the State Tax Service froze the funds of several individuals subject to international sanctions.
