
Speaker on visit to Bucharest
Speaker Igor Grosu is on a short visit to Bucharest today, where he met with Prime Minister of Romania Ilie Bolojan. During the discussions, Grosu expressed his gratitude for the constant and unconditional support that Romania provides to the Republic of Moldova.
The two officials agreed that in the coming years, bilateral relations will be substantially strengthened, with a focus on infrastructure, energy, and capital exchange.
The Speaker mentioned that there are specific projects that will bring economic development and prosperity to both banks of the Prut River.
Grosu also emphasized Romania's role as one of the greatest supporters of the European path of the Republic of Moldova, noting that the authorities aim to have the treaty of accession to the European Union signed by 2028.
