New opportunities for young people: Moldovan government launches programme of paid internship in public service
Young people of Moldova can benefit from a new opportunity to start their professional careers. They can apply to the Public Service Internship Programme, launched by the government. The initiative is meant for individuals aged between 18 and 29 years. Each intern will receive a monthly stipend of 3,500 lei.
"Another good news for young people seeking professional experience. On October 1, we are happy to launch the public service internship programme," said the government’s spokesperson, Daniel Voda.
The programme offers 82 job positions provided by 31 public institutions.
Applications can be submitted on October 1-15. Additional details about the programme can be found on the official platform: www.stagii.gov.md.
"Dear young people, dare and join the public service, an experience alongside a body of professional officials who carry out their daily activities," said Daniel Voda.
The internships are paid and involve a workload of 480 hours on a period of 3-6 months. Those who complete the programme with an "excellent" grade can be employed without competition in executive public positions that do not require prior experience.
At the same time, graduates of the programme are included in the reserve corps of public servants for a period of 12 months.
The programme facilitates the transition of young people from education to the labor market, providing them with practical experience and relevant professional skills.
