Sweden reaffirms support for Moldova's European path

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popsoi today met Ambassador of Sweden to Moldova Petra Maria Lärke, who has recently started  her diplomatic mission in the country.

During the discussions, the minister thanked Sweden for its continuous support for the Moldova's European integration and its contribution to development and modernization projects. Popsoi highlighted the joint project of the Nordic and Baltic countries, including Sweden, aimed at strengthening the institutional resilience of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focusing on cybersecurity and crisis management, carried out through the United Nations Development Programme  (UNDP) and to be completed by 2028.

Ambassador Maria Lärke congratulated the Moldovan authorities on the results of the parliamentary elections and reaffirmed Sweden's support for Moldova's European path.

The dialogue focused also on expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of security, defense, energy, education, environmental protection and creative industries.
