Four billion lei investments through 373 Programme; Moldovan PM says government supports entrepreneurs willing to develop business, create new jobs

The governmental Programme 373 has reached the milestone of 4 billion lei invested in the economy of Moldova. Through this programme, 707 companies, where over 10,000 people are employed, have benefited from advantageous and predictable loan conditions.

Financial resources have been accessed by companies from different regions of the country, operating in such fields as renewable energy, transport and storage, manufacturing, agriculture and healthcare.

Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that the investments made under the Programme would generate the creation of over 2,000 jobs.

“In the last two years, through Programme 373, the government has been supporting entrepreneurs willing to develop their business and create well-paid jobs at home. As many as 707 companies, employing over 10,000 people, have benefited from advantageous and predictable loan conditions. The investments will generate over 2,000 jobs and support the development of small- and medium-sized enterprises in various fields,” the PM said.

The prime minister urged business people to invest in Moldova and continue to benefit from the advantageous financial resources provided by this program.

Dorin Recean also said that, in the past three years, the investment climate in  Moldova “has witnessed significant improvement,” a fact confirmed, according to him, by the international country economic rating agency Moody’s. It has offered the best rating for Moldova in the last 10 years, “a thing which recognizes the government’s efforts to strengthen the economy and encourage investments in the country,” concluded the PM.

The 373 Programme was launched in the summer of 2023. Through it, small and medium-sized enterprises benefit from easier access to financing. The maximum loan amount is 40 million lei, and the maximum guarantee ceiling is 80 per cent of the loan’s value, through the Credit Guarantee Fund.
