Moldovan enterprises can collect electricity compensation
The Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) announces that it has begun processing payments according to the Program for compensating the increase in electricity prices for enterprises in the Republic of Moldova. Partial compensation for the electricity price difference is granted starting from February 19 until December 31, 2025, within the limits of the available budget.
“In April, we received from the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) the list of accepted compensation requests, which were processed during February 21 – April 24, 2025. Accordingly, payment orders are being executed for 780 requests with a total value of 11.39 million lei. The approved funds will be distributed to 563 unique beneficiaries,” explains AIPA.
Information regarding the value of the granted compensations can be viewed by accessing the link https://aipa.gov.md/ro/suport-financiar.
“The compensation is provided in the form of financial means amounting to 50% of the price difference following the increase in prices for the supply of electricity. The deadline for submitting the compensation request is 30 days from the date of the electricity bill issuance,” indicates the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture.
The program budget is 300 million lei. This program, implemented by the Government of the Republic of Moldova with the support of the European Union, represents a concrete measure to support the business environment in the context of rising electricity costs.
