Moldovan president urges Moldovans with Romanian citizenship to participate in Romania's presidential elections
President Maia Sandu has urged Moldovans with Romanian citizenship to participate in Romania's presidential elections. She emphasized that each vote mattered and each decision can determine the direction the neighboring country would take.
“Dear Romanians with voting rights from Moldova, on May 2, 3, and 4, we have the opportunity to make our voices heard – to vote at the presidential elections in Romania, at any of the 64 polling stations open here,” said Maia Sandu.
The head of state noted that “each choice can determine the direction Romania will pursue.”
“Democracy means having a say. Each vote counts. Each decision can determine the direction Romania will take. I urge you to participate in the vote. For a democratic and European Romania, our trusted and heartfelt partner,” Maia Sandu said.
Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu also urged citizens to participate in Romania's presidential election, highlighting that “the presidential elections from Romania are more than just a simple electoral competition.” “They are about the direction Romania will take, as well as about the strong voice Romania will have in the European Union to support Moldova,” emphasized Igor Grosu.
