
Moldovans with Romanian citizenship can vote in Romania's presidential elections starting today
Starting today, Romanian citizens in the Republic of Moldova can exercise their voting rights in the presidential elections in Romania. In this regard, 64 polling stations have been opened in our country, operating for three days between 07:00 and 21:00.
“Voting starts in the Republic of Moldova! All 64 polling stations are open, with most of them having already welcomed the first voters”, announced the Romanian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova.
The voting process in the diaspora, including at polling stations opened in the Republic of Moldova will last for three days. Thus, Romanian citizens are expected to vote for the Romanian president from today until Sunday, May 4. The polling stations will be open from 07:00 and will close at 21:00.
In the Northern region of the country, 18 polling stations are open, in the Central region - 38 polling stations, of which 20 are in Chisinau, and in the Southern region - 8 polling stations.
To vote in the presidential elections, citizens need to present one of the following documents: identity card, electronic identity card, provisional identity card, diplomatic passport, electronic diplomatic passport, service passport, electronic service passport, regular passport, electronic regular passport, temporary regular passport, military service card (military schools students).
The ballot paper features 11 candidates.
