Moldova IT Park - 245 residents recorded within seven months of activity
Chisinau, 14 August /MOLDPRES/- 245 local and foreign IT companies joined the first IT park in our country - "Moldova IT park" since 1 January, which represents more than half of the IT companies in the country.
The interest of the IT companies is growing - the number of the residents of the park increased by 28 in July and the sales revenue increased to 1.7 billion lei, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Facilities provided to IT park residents include paying 7% of the single sales tax and removing bureaucratic barriers. Thus, the reporting procedure has been simplified and minimized interaction with state institutions. Also, the park offers a virtual operating regime - its residents can operate and benefit from facilities provided from their own offices or residences, after a prior registration. The average salary in the IT sector is 17,000 lei.
The first IT park in Moldova started its activity on 1 January, and was created at the initiative of Prime Minister Pavel Filip. The park was founded for 10 years. During this period, the number of residents of the park will reach about 400 IT companies, create new jobs and attract local and foreign investments.
