PHOTO // Prime Minister praises entrepreneurship in Nisporeni

Nisporeni district is becoming a model of entrepreneurship and hard work, according to Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, who highlighted the success of local businesses in the area. During yesterday’s visit to the region, the prime minister noted the contribution of residents to the country’s economic development. The official emphasized that through dedicated work and concrete results, local entrepreneurs demonstrate that “those who work, succeed”.

During the visit, the prime minister met again with two women entrepreneurs he had previously met at the “Made in Moldova” exhibition. They are Angela Cârchelan, together with her husband, painter Ion Cârchelan, who produce hand-painted candles sold in specialized stores in the capital and showcased at artistic events, and Jana Butnaru, who is developing a business producing textile items for children, made in line with safety and quality standards.

Both businesses are residents of the Nisporeni Business Incubator, which currently hosts 47 local enterprises, supporting the development of the business environment and the creation of jobs.

The prime minister also visited Codreanca textile factory, where clothing items are made for foreign companies. The factory employs around 100 people, including young people who continue their studies at the Nisporeni Vocational School, benefiting from a dual education program that combines theory with practice within local enterprises.

Alexandru Munteanu stressed that the work of local entrepreneurs not only promotes the region and creates jobs, but also contributes to the economic growth of the Republic of Moldova.

“The example of businesses in Nisporeni illustrates the importance of supporting entrepreneurship and developing dual education, strengthening the link between vocational training and labor market,” he said.

This visit underscores the authorities’ commitment to supporting local initiatives and encouraging entrepreneurship as a driver of regional and national development.
