Chisinau-based Eugen Doga International Airport operates as normal, as difficult weather conditions overcome

The Eugen Doga International Airport of Chisinau has announced that aeronautical activity was taking place under normal conditions, despite the difficult weather in the last 24 hours. Airport’s operators have managed to keep the facilities open and operational thanks to the continuous interventions of maintenance teams on the airfield and in the terminal.

According to the information provided, movement areas, including runways and aprons are being kept clear and safe, allowing flights to be carried out in optimal conditions.

“Air operations continue in accordance with standard procedures and airport staff have worked intensively to ensure the safe work of all air traffic flows,” the cited source noted.

The Airport’s management highlighted its effective collaboration with air traffic controllers from MOLDATSA, noting that the exemplary mobilization of the teams was essential for maintaining operational capability in difficult conditions. “We thank our colleagues for their efforts and for the professionalism they have shown. Building an efficient and proactive team has allowed the airport to remain functional and safe,” the institution’s statement reads.

The airport recommends that travelers check flight status directly with the airlines or through the airport’s official channels. Authorities note that aircrafts’ de-icing procedures are ongoing and are decided by each airline individually, in order to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.

Airport representatives reiterated that passengers’ safety stayed the main priority, and the measures taken allow for the maintenance of a high level of security and operational efficiency, even in difficult weather conditions.
