Energocom company of Moldova estimates gas price for October at 76.35 euros/MWh

The estimated purchase price of natural gas for the volumes contracted for October is approximately 76.35 euros/MWh, the Energocom joint stock company has reported. This is 0.824 euros/MWh below the source gas price taken into account by the national Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) when setting tariffs for the fourth quarter of 2026.

According to the institution, the calculation is based on the daily average values of the TTF Front Month reference index, used in indexed-price purchase contracts in September. On September 30, the quotation established by the Argus agency was 75.516 euros/MWh.

Added to this amount is the margin of the external suppliers designated as winners following the competitive procedures organized by Energocom, approximately 0.83 euros/MWh. Thus, the estimated price for the firm volumes contracted for October reaches approximately 76.346 euros/MWh.

Energocom specifies that the announced value represents only the source gas cost and does not include the logistical expenses required to deliver it to the border of Moldova. These include transportation costs, capacity reservations and other related services.

The company says that it also uses forward contracts, through which gas volumes are contracted in advance for the period in which they are needed. The final price is established based on the formulas provided in the contracts and reflects developments in market indices, as well as the results of competitive procurement procedures.

Energocom says that the goal of the procurement process is to ensure the most advantageous commercial conditions possible for supplying natural gas to consumers of Moldova.
