Moldovan PM discusses Moldova’s European path, economic development with international delegation of experts
Prime Minister Vasile Tofan has met an international delegation of experts and officials, convened by the German Marshall Fund (GMF) and the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR).
The discussions focused on the Moldova’s European path, the government’s economic priorities and the security challenges facing the region.
The PM reiterated his commitment to accelerating EU accession negotiations and emphasized that economic development was a government’s priority. In this regard, the cabinet aims to transform Moldova into one of the most attractive European countries for entrepreneurship, by reducing bureaucracy, simplifying procedures for investors and creating a competitive, export-oriented business environment.
The interlocutors also addressed strengthening the country’s defense capabilities, combating foreign interference and protecting democratic processes.
