
Event dedicated to 31st anniversary of creation of Joint Peacekeeping Forces held in Varnita
Chisinau, 27 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian, along with Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatii, representatives of Moldova’s Delegation to the Joint Control Commission (JCC) and the strength of the military contingent of the Peacekeeping Forces on behalf of Moldova, have participated in a ceremony on the 31st anniversary of the starting of the peacekeeping operation in Moldova’s Security Zone, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The event was organized at the independent infantry company of the Peacekeeping Forces, deployed in Varnita.
In his speech, Deputy PM Oleg Serebrian expressed thanks to the Moldovan servicemen who are in the van of the mission for the defence of the country’s independence and territorial integrity. He appreciated the dignity and capability with which they fulfill their duty before the Motherland.
The peacekeepers who made themselves conspicuous through the irreproachable fulfillment of the service and through good results in the professional work were awarded distinctions at the event.
