Moldovan deputy PM for reintegration has meeting with high official of United Kingdom
Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri today had a working meeting with Mark Clayton, Deputy Director of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Department at United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. The British official was accompanied by Ambassador of UK to Moldova Fern Horine.
During the meeting, the sides discussed recent developments in the Transnistrian region and the measures taken by the Moldovan authorities to support citizens from the eastern districts, in the context of the country’s reintegration and the protection of fundamental rights.
The British officials reaffirmed their strong support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova within its internationally recognized borders, as well as for efforts aimed at reintegration.
The deputy PM expressed gratitude for the continuous assistance provided to Moldova by the United Kingdom, emphasizing its importance for advancing a comprehensive and peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.
