Energocom: electricity needs for March 25 fully covered in Moldova
The Energocom company has announced that, March 25, the electricity consumption needs of the right bank are 100-per cent commercially covered, without accessing emergency power.
According to the cited source, the competent institutions in the sector have managed to get the necessary intra-day capacity, in order to fully cover the electricity consumption for March 25, 2026, in cooperation with the transmission system operators from Romania, Ukraine and other countries of the region.
At the same time, Energocom warned that the risk of disconnections in the coming days persisted, because of the existing limitations on technical import capacity.
Under these conditions, the authorities urge consumers to use electricity rationally during peak hours, both to have lower invoices and to ensure the reliability of the power system.
The Isaccea–Vulcanesti overhead power line was disconnected on March 23 evening, following attacks on energy infrastructure in southern Ukraine. This led the authorities to declare a state of emergency in the energy sector for a period of 60 days.
