
Moldovan deputy premier for reintegration meets Ambassador of United Kingdom
Chisinau, 8 June /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Olga Cebotari has received Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Moldova Steven Fisher, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The dialogue was focused on exchanging opinions concerning the present stage in the process of negotiations on the Transnistrian settlement and prospects for strengthening the bilateral relations. The sides also reviewed both the actions due to be carried out and the sectors with high potential of cooperation.
The officials highlighted the very good relation between the two countries and the tendency of development of the Moldova-UK cooperation within assistance projects as regards the measures of consolidating confidence between the two banks of Dniester.
In the context, the deputy prime minister reiterated the special attention the authorities were paying to safeguarding the rights of the citizens from all over Moldova.
At the same time, Olga Cebotari reiterated Chisinau’s interest in the peaceful and sustainable settlement of the Transnistrian file and the need to maintain a permanent and constructive dialogue in all formats of negotiations, in order to find viable solutions to the current problems.
The sides reaffirmed their attachment to the same set of common ideas and values and expressed will to deepen the partnership through an open dialogue, backed at the bilateral and European levels.
