A number of 900 children and 50 teachers have already participated in the European Excursion educational programme, organized by the government.
Pupils come from all districts of the country and have the opportunity to explore, in Chisinau, the National Museum of History, visit the Parliament and the Presidency, as well as watch a movie at the cinema.
The second edition of the European Excursion programme was launched on June 24 and will continue till July 20. During this time, pupils from all districts of the country visit the Moldovan capital and get involved in educational and cultural activities. In total, 1,300 pupils from rural areas across the country will benefit from this experience.
The European Excursion programme aims to facilitate free educational and cultural experiences for pupils from villages.
Groups of pupils are picked up from their locations with organized transport labeled European Excursion, and in Chisinau they are welcomed by programme guides who accompany them throughout the day. The children are provided with free supplies and food, with all organizational expenses covered by the government.
The programme includes students aged between 10 and 16 years. Each of the 76 settlements included in the programme selects 18 children and an accompanying teacher.
Over 2,500 children participated In the first edition of the programme, in the 2024 year.
