Moldovan PM attends presidential election
Chisinau, 1 November /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Ion Chicu participated together with his wife in the presidential election this morning, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
"I came to fulfill my civic duty in the elections, it is an extraordinary exercise of responsibility for the Republic of Moldova. It is important that we, all Moldovan citizens successfully pass this exercise to elect our head of state ", he said.
He thanked the observers, the employees of the electoral bureaus, the media representatives and all those involved in organizing and conducting the elections, and urged all citizens to come to the polls.
In this context, the premier said that the future of the Republic of Moldova depends on the decision of every citizen of the country. "I am sure that every citizen of the Republic of Moldova knows what he is voting for, he knows that in the hands of each of us is the fate of the country and of each one. It is necessary to make the right decision today, as I believe I did. The Republic of Moldova certainly has a future, it is only necessary to work hard, to believe in it ", he said.
The presidential elections are held today, 1 November. Polling stations will be open from 07:00 to 21:00.
