Moldova's General Police Inspectorate, Czech Republic sign agreement to strengthen digital expertise; project provides modern equipment, training for police officers
The General Police Inspectorate (IGP) and the Czech Republic are strengthening their cooperation in the field of digital investigations. Head of the National Police Viorel Cernauteanu and Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Moldova Jaromír Plíšek signed a bilateral agreement today within the CyberVAC project.
The project is funded by the government of the Czech Republic and provides software licenses, modern hardware equipment and specialized training in digital forensics.
“The implementation of the project will contribute to streamlining the examination of digital evidence, increasing the speed and accuracy of investigations, as well as the ability of police officers to use relevant information for documenting crimes,” the IGP emphasized.
Through this partnership, the National Police continues to develop international cooperation and invest in modern technologies and specialized employees’ training, in order to enhance investigative efficiency and contribute to citizens’ safety.
