Moldovan president has discussions with Minister of State for Europe at German Federal Foreign Office

The Presidency of the Republic of Moldova

President Maia Sandu today in Chisinau met Gunther Krichbaum, Minister of State for Europe at the German Federal Foreign Office. During the talks, the officials discussed bilateral relations, German assistance for the development of Moldova, Germany’s support for Moldova’s accession to the European Union, as well as the security situation in the region and global geopolitical developments.

The German official is in Chisinau to participate in the Ministerial Session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, held on May 14-15, in the context of Moldova’s Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. The event brings together delegations from over 50 member states, including foreign affairs ministers and other high-level officials.
