Moldovan president meets heads of diplomatic missions of European Union member states
President Maia Sandu today had a meeting with the ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions of the European Union member states, on the occasion of Europe Day. The discussions took place, as Moldova prepares to take the next steps in the EU accession process and focused on the progress made on the path of European integration, as well as on the global security and economic situation.
The president emphasized that Moldova was steadily advancing in the implementation of reforms, including in the areas of justice and anti-corruption, as well as regarding the administrative and territorial reform. The head of state asked the ambassadors for support, so that the country’s progress is reflected in the dynamics of the accession process, which must stay a merit-based process.
