President held meeting with European Commissioner for Financial Services
President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu had a meeting today with Maria Luís Albuquerque, European Commissioner for Financial Services and Savings and Investments Union. The discussions focused on deepening economic and financial cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, in the context of advancing the European integration process.
The parties appreciated Moldova's accession to the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), which facilitates fast and secure transfers between Moldova and EU countries while reducing costs for citizens and companies.
The head of state emphasized the importance of strengthening the financial market and attracting foreign investments as essential factors for the sustainable development of the national economy. In this regard, President Sandu highlighted the efforts of the authorities to create a stable, predictable, and entrepreneurship-friendly economic environment.
