President met with senators from Moldova–France friendship group

Today President Maia Sandu met in Chisinau with Senators Véronique Guillotin and Nadia Sollogoub, members of Moldova–France Friendship Group in the French Senate, who are on a working visit.

The head of state emphasized the close relationship with France, its support for Moldova's EU accession and economic cooperation. The President also highlighted the importance of European support in the process of modernizing the country and protecting democracy against foreign interference.

President Maia Sandu also thanked for the support provided to the Moldovan diaspora in France, an active community contributing to the development of both economies. In this context, the head of state welcomed the signing of agreements on social protection and the conversion of driving licenses, which, once ratified, will bring concrete benefits to Moldovans settled in France.
