Moldovan parliament speaker to pay official visit to Czech Republic
Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu will pay an official visit to the Czech Republic on June 22-23, 2026, at an invitation of his Czech counterpart, President of the Senate Miloš Vystrčil.
The agenda of the visit includes meetings with officials of the Czech Republic, as well as discussions on strengthening the Moldovan–Czech bilateral relations, interparliamentary cooperation and the support for Moldova in the process of European integration.
During the visit, Igor Grosu will have a meeting with President of the Czech Senate Miloš Vystrčil, followed by a joint press conference. The Moldovan speaker will also hold talks with President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Tomio Okamura. The agenda also includes a meeting with members of the Interparliamentary Friendship Group, during which opportunities for developing cooperation between the legislatures of the two countries will be discussed.
At the Government, Igor Grosu will hold discussions with Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babiš and Deputy Prime Minister and Devence Minister of the Czech Republic Jaromír Zůna.
During the visit to the Czech Republic, the parliament speaker will also attend the screening of a film made by Czech director Petr Voldán, “Landmarks of Moldova”, a production dedicated to Moldova and to promoting the country’s image abroad.
