Moldovan president congratulates medical employees, pharmacists on professional holiday
President Maia Sandu has sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Medical Employees’ and Pharmacists’ Day, expressing gratitude to all those who work in the healthcare system for their work and dedication.
The head of state noted that employees of the medical field stood by citizens in the most difficult moments, helping to save lives, ease suffering and restore hope.
"Day and night, on workdays and holidays alike, you are on duty to save lives, ease suffering and restore hope. I thank you for the professionalism, responsibility and dedication with which you take care of all of us in difficult moments, as well as for the personal sacrifices you make, placing the well-being of patients above your own comfort," Maia Sandu said.
At the same time, the Moldovan president emphasized that health was a shared responsibility and urged citizens to pay greater attention to prevention and to making responsible choices.
"Let us not forget that health is also a responsibility we all share. Through prevention and responsible choices, each of us can contribute to a healthier society," the head of state noted.
Medical Employees’ and Pharmacists’ Day is annually marked in Moldova on the third Sunday of June.
