Moldova's National Social Insurance House, National Institute of Social Security of Spain to exchange social security forms, data electronically
The National Social Insurance House (CNAS) and the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) of Spain will exchange forms and data electronically in the field of social security. The decision was taken during a meeting between CNAS Director General Elena Tibirna and Cesar L. Gomez Garcillan, Deputy Director General for Benefits Management at INSS of Spain.
During the discussions, the sides addressed aspects related to the implementation of the Agreement on Social Security between Moldova and Spain, signed on July 21, 2022, which entered into force on June 1, 2024.
"The participants in the meeting agreed to carry out the electronic exchange of liaison forms and data, in order to reduce the time needed to process benefits. Thus, starting from July 1, this year, a new, more efficient mechanism is to be implemented for the electronic transmission of forms and documents between the competent institutions, contributing to the simplification and streamlining of the process of granting social benefits," CNAS said.
The parties also emphasized the importance of digitalizing processes and strengthening institutional cooperation, in order to facilitate citizens’ access to social security rights and to ensure the effective implementation of the provisions of the bilateral Agreement.
