Modern Democratic Party activity limited for one year
Chisinau Court of Appeal decided today to temporarily suspend the activity of Modern Democratic Party of Moldova for a period of 12 months. The court fully admitted the request submitted by the Ministry of Justice.
The Ministry of Justice's request, submitted on September 22, 2025, was formulated following complaints received from the Public Services Agency and the Intelligence and Security Service. The request sought the application of an interim measure against the party until a final decision is pronounced.
The decision of the Court of Appeal can be appealed to the Supreme Court of Justice, meaning that the suspension is not yet final.
Previously, the judges also decided to limit the activities of Greater Moldova and Heart of Moldova parties.
