
Moldovan Foreign Affairs Ministry issues travel warning, recommends that Moldovans avoid any travel to Israel
Chisinau, 7 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE), following the latest analyses, finds out a significant worsening of the security situation in Israel. In these conditions, the ministry issued a travel warning and insistently recommends that the Moldovan citizens avoid any travel to Israel.
According to MAEIE, the situation can quickly change and the local rules can vary from one region to another. ‘’We recommend that all fellow countrymen, who are already in Israel, keep in touch with the Embassy in Tel Aviv and take knowledge about the local situation and any updates as regards the safety. Everybody is recommended to be informed from official sources, listen to the local and international stories, verify and observe the ordinances of the local authorities and strictly observe any rules or recommendations issued by them,’’ the Moldovan Foreign Affairs Ministry said.
Also, the ministry recommends the maintaining of a channel of information opened with the close relatives, in order to be able to be called in emergency cases, to be cautious and put priority on safety in all circumstances. ‘’The situation in Israel can evolve quickly and the travels to this region can imply significant risks at this point,’’ the quoted source stressed.
The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry will continue monitoring the situation and will provide additional updates and recommendations, as the information becomes available.
