Citizens abroad urged to pre-register for 28 September elections
Citizens abroad are urged to pre-register for the parliamentary elections, due on 28 September. It can be done on http://inregistrare.cec.md. Requests can be submitted until 14 August.
“The pre-registration period continues for our compatriots settled abroad. Until August 14, those who are abroad can register on the platform inregistrare.cec.md to vote abroad in the parliamentary elections on 28 September,” Government Spokesperson Daniel Vodă said.
He explained that it is important for citizens to register in advance to ensure the efficient organization of polling stations.
“Registration helps authorities determine where it is best to open polling stations. Moreover, by registering, you ensure that you will not have administrative issues, as the station will be near the area where you registered, in case of a high number of registrations. The registration process also ensures proper planning and adequate resources. The data obtained through registration allows authorities to allocate sufficient resources for the electoral process,” said Daniel Vodă.
He urged citizens to take advantage of this opportunity and pre-register for the elections.
Among the most active citizens who have already registered for the autumn parliamentary elections are our compatriots from Italy, Germany, the USA, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, France and the Russian Federation.
